A quickly developing field for inspection is in the entertainment industry. Recreation Engineering employs ETCP technicians with the knowledge of the current PLASA standards, industry best practices and years of experience in the entertainment industry to perform rigging safety audits within theatrical venues.

 

All the performance and guest areas that contain suspended items overhead. Performances spaces like indoor theatres, amphitheatres, portable stages and stadiums. The audit evaluates the rigging to verify it is installed correctly, proper maintenance is being completed and/or point out potential points of failure within a rigging system.

Recreation Engineering is currently active with PLASA in Rigging Task Group creating ANSI Standards for the Entertainment Industry.
