Recreation Engineering Inc. performs nondestructive testing (NDT) services in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the
American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). REI personnel are trained to ASNT standard SNT-TC-1A. Our staff also includes an
ASNT Level III certified inspector.
REI is able to perform several different types of nondestructive testing. Current methods used include visual, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and dye penetrant. These are some of the most common methods for finding surface and subsurface flaws in materials before they cause a problem. These are also the methods most often cited by manufacturers for testing their components.
