INSPECTION

Recreation Engineering has teams of NAARSO Certified Amusement Ride Safety Inspectors and Certified Weld Inspectors that will develop and conduct a rigid inspection program for amusement equipment.  The condition of the equipment as it relates to guest and employee safety is our top priority.  However, REI also assesses the quality of maintenance and shares the many maintenance tips that we have learned throughout the course of decades of maintenance and inspection experience.

REI is one of the few companies approved to conduct amusement ride third party quality assurance specialty inspections by the Clark County Building Department Inspections Division.  REI is the only company that is also approved by the City of Las Vegas.

In Las Vegas, you don't have to search too far to find another one of our projects.  Behind our certified inspector conducting a visual inspection of the MGM Sky Screamer is the Manhattan Express rollercoaster at the New York New York Hotel and Casino.

REI doesn't just inspect in Las Vegas.  Our offices in Arizona and Nevada have provided inspection services to the corners of the United States and, indeed, the world.  Our personnel have provided professional services to facilities as far away as Buenos Aires, Argentina; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Paris, France.

REI conducts three basic types of inspection services:

  1. Full design and installation verification:  This type of inspection is the most in-depth.   It includes a 100% inspection with additional concentration on manufacturer specifications, design and codes & standards.
  2. 100% maintenance and safety inspection:  This inspection looks at all aspects of ride systems and applies industry experience and safety philosophies to enhance a facility's ongoing safety and maintenance program.
  3. Maintenance Survey: Gives a general impression of maintenance activities and effectiveness.
